Journaling

Some ideas for Journaling

Start by including goals for the day and how you will feel when you accomplish them.  See some other ideas below:

Envision the Future

Imagine how people will interact with you 6 months from now when they hear you are still working out almost every day and still getting great results. Make a list of what you will hear and how you will feel during these interactions. Look at this list when you wake, when you eat, and when you go to bed.

Make a Weekly Schedule

You can have anything scheduled you want but include time to work out and sleep everyday. The goal is to balance your 24 hours. Twelve hours of giving. Twelve hours of recharging. Recharging includes working out, sleeping, cooking, eating, and hobbies. Make a list of activities that recharge your spirit. Make a list of activities that drain your spirit. Review list and allot time appropriately.

Determine Your Reason

Make a list of everyone who will be happy and benefit when you are healthier, happier and more functional. Make a list of things to do with people you love that will be easier when you have more stamina, strength, and a better peace of mind. Make a list of selfish reasons to change your habits to a healthier lifestyle.

Change Your Eating Relationship

Cook 80% of what you put in your body from scratch. Stop eating food with ingredients you cannot pronounce. Make a list of food you can cook or want to cook from scratch. Make a list of ultra-processed foods that you will avoid. (If food takes less than 10 minutes to make it is processed.) Make a list of healthy snacks you enjoy.

Focus Your Energy and Effort

Make a list of the roles you have in your life. (Mother, daughter, sister, friend, employee, self, etc.) For each role make a goal you would like to accomplish to strengthen the relationship. For each goal have a Date to accomplish, make it achievable, positive, and personal.

Gather Strength and Respect for Yourself

Make a list of people you respect with the characteristics you admire. ( I respect my mother because she is kind.) From the list of characteristics write about a time when you showed the characteristic. (I am kind when I smile at others) If you have characteristics that you have not displayed, write a growth plan to start showing the characteristic. (I will show kindness by smiling more.)
